Join us for an session on metadata quality and data curation, where we will explore how better practices can make your research more visible, reusable, and impactful in YODA. Our application managers will introduce practical checklists and guidelines designed to support researchers in improving metadata and data curation, and we are eager to hear your feedback to ensure these tools reflect real needs in the research community.

During the session, we will also share an overview of the datasets published in YODA so far and highlight examples where improvements in quality are needed, using these cases as a starting point for discussion. By participating, you will not only gain concrete strategies for enhancing your own data but also play an active role in shaping community standards that strengthen the future of YODA.

What to expect?

The RDM Tools day is a day of training for researchers and support staff at VU. It consists of a few separate workshops for which you can sign up, all consisting of one hour. Coffee, tea and cookies will be present.

Who should attend?

Everyone interested in the topics RDM tools, storage and archiving is warmly welcome to attend. If you are a new researcher at VU Amsterdam these workshops can help you getting started with the software for your upcoming research.

About the Training Days

Research Support and Training Days are bi-yearly events to help colleagues from different departments learn about the topics like Research Data Management and Open Science, and about each other’s work! At the VU, the expertise in Research Data Management (RDM) and Open Science (OS) is distributed across several parts of the organisation, such as the Library, IT, Legal, IT for Research, Security, Education Affairs. As the RDM and OS landscapes are rapidly evolving, and new colleagues join the Network on a regular basis it is important to make sure that our knowledge base is up to date and that we allow us time to celebrate Open Science.
