The joint event ReproducibiliTea and Data Conversations is set up to bring together students, researchers, research support staff from all subject areas. Everyone is welcome to attend.

About the ReproducibiliTea journal club:

The ReproducibiliTea is a journal club initiative that fosters the creation of local Open Science journal clubs at universities worldwide. The goal is to discuss diverse issues, papers, and ideas on how to improve science and reproducibility under the Open Science framework. The global initiative was started in 2018 by the University of Oxford, and it is currently present in 111 institutions in 25 different countries.

At the Vrije Universiteit, the ReproducibiliTea VU Amsterdam was created by Emil Uffelmann and Eduarda Centeno at the end of 2019. The journal club happens in monthly meetings in which students and researchers can join to discuss pre-selected papers about various topics related to Open Science. Each session has a volunteer host who chooses and presents the paper to be discussed with the rest of the group.

About Data Conversations:

Data Conversations started at the University of Lancaster in the UK. The Lancaster Data Conversations aim to bring data practitioners together to talk about how researchers create, collect, use and share data. The Data Conversations at the VU Amsterdam share the same aim and are intended to provide a forum for researchers from different subjects and disciplines to exchange practices and ideas around open data, FAIR data, research data management and related open science topics.

Hope to see you soon!
