How to write a Master's Thesis? (On-Campus) In-Person

Are you about to start writing your master's thesis, but are you not sure how to start?

This workshop teaches you everything you need to know. From using the right reference software to structuring your research process: you'll receive countless useful tips that will give you a head start. 

During the workshop, you'll learn to:

  1. Develop your research question(s)
  2. Set up a suitable methodology
  3. Write an enticing introduction
  4. Create a feasible planning

This workshop will be taught by BETA Alumna Riley Terzopoulos. She graduated in the Master's programme Global Health Research. She won the annual Master's Thesis Award 2024 for her thesis "Towards cervical cancer elimination: an exploration into the global variation of HPV vaccination programs and coverage." She's an experienced microbiologist, global health researcher, and advocate for women's health. She has two years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and four years in research. Furthermore, she has a well-established history of designing and advising on study methodology, and she is currently in the process of publishing an analysis of clinical trial innovation.

This workshop can only be followed physically at the VU. Online participation is not possible. If you cannot come to the VU, you can follow the other workshop online on October 29.
